Prioritizing the Environment
DFW is committed to instituting a holistic approach to environmental stewardship, including in how decisions are made for procurement, operations, planning and development. As part of the Sustainability Management Plan (SMP), the Airport has designated Climate Action, Energy Performance, Circular Economy, and Water and Biodiversity as four of its six “Sustainability North Stars.” A roadmap was developed in 2023 and is set to be completed in 2024 to help guide DFW to become a more resilient and sustainable operation.
